Week 5 Volcanos This week we talk about volcanos. There are several volcanoes for example shield, cinder cones, and composite fragments. We also learn the different sizes of volcanoes and which are more common to burst and or more active than others (Keller p133). Also volcanic behavior is very important to keep monitor to keep people aware because volcanoes don’t only burst and blast but they release poisonous gasses into the water systems that can affect livestock and people. Volcanoes also have secondary effects like debris flows, mudflows, and volcanic landslides (Keller 149). Cerro Negro, Nicaragua San Cristobal, Nicaragua Nicaragua’s biggest volcano is San Cristobal which is one of seven active volcanoes. It last erupted in April, 22, 2016 and it erupted more than 10 times. San Cristobal is rated a small to moderate activity.
