Nicaragua’s has many types of hazards that impact the country heavily. Most of the dangerous hazards happen near or on the coast which is neighbors with the ring of fire. In addition to the location of Nicaragua impacting all of these hazards climate change has increased many of those hazards becoming uncontrollable for the people to deal with. Most commonly the rainfall is what impacts Nicaragua’s coast. Recently Nicaragua’s coast was hit with a “category 2 storm on the five-point Saffir-Simpson scale when it hit in October 2016” called Hurricane Otto ( reliefweb.int ) all of the rain from this storm created many floods in various locations of the coast. All of this rainfall and flooding damaged many peoples homes and many had to evacuate and leave all of their belongings behind.
